The Minister of Defense congratulated the pupils of the SPC of Orshansky district with the New Year
Traditionally, the Ministry of Defense participates in the charity campaign "Our Children" on the eve of Christmas and New Year holidays. Today, representatives of the military department, led by Minister of Defense Viktor Khrenin, congratulated the students of the social-pedagogical center of the Orsha district.
The guests brought sweet gifts and an exciting entertainment program.
In an interview with journalists, the head of the department emphasized that the "Our Children" campaign in our country is already a brand.
– The Armed Forces supported the initiative from the very beginning, back in 1995, – said Viktor Khrenin. – All military units are assigned to children's social institutions. In particular, we always come to the Orsha district. Initially, it was the Andreevshchinsky orphanage, and after its closure, we focused on the social-pedagogical center. The tradition of visiting such institutions on the eve of holidays has never been interrupted. Even during the COVID times, we made video messages, recorded fairy tales, and delivered gifts. After all, the importance and value of the campaign is precisely the attention to children who are in a difficult life situation. Our task is to do everything so that children do not lose faith in goodness, faith in themselves, and know that there are people in our country who will always lend a shoulder and help.
Viktor Gennadievich also noted that the interaction of military personnel with children's social institutions is not limited to congratulations on the eve of winter holidays but lasts all year round. Excursions, summer sports camps are organized for the kids at military units, children are involved in the work of patriotic clubs, and assistance is provided in the repair and technical equipment of institutions. For example, thanks to the support of the Ministry of Defense, this year, group rooms for children and hygiene rooms have been renovated in the Orsha social-pedagogical center, and even more has been done over five years of cooperation.
Smiles shone on the faces of the students of the SPC. The kids, together with the guests, danced around the Christmas tree, participated in interactive games, and most importantly, they were surrounded by attention and care.
