Mechanizers of OJSC "Mayak-Vysokoe" were the first in the Vitebsk region to mill a thousand tonnes of grain each.
The mechanizers of OJSC "Mayak-Vysokoe" from the Orsha district, brothers Denis and Yevgeny Pshenny, were the first in the Vitebsk region to harvest a thousand tons of grain.
The milestone was reached with winter wheat, the yield of which, despite the difficult weather conditions, turned out to be higher than last year's. Denis became the first "thousand-tonner" of the Dvina region, while Yevgeny became the leader in the youth nomination.
He congratulated the "thousand-tonners" right in the field, the chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin.
– The most important thing is our people, who are ready and know how to work. They wait for every fine minute, "grab" every ton from the weather. Now it has settled sunny, and this is a window of opportunity to throw all efforts into the battle for the harvest. There are already two "thousand-tonners". In this difficult season, this can be recorded as a labor feat. The task now is to increase the pace, collect the grain from the fields, dry it, and store it.
Alexander Subbotin noted that this year the prospects for the harvest in the region are good.
The chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee, Igor Moroz, reported that the overall harvest in the region's fields is pleasing.
– More than 45 c/ha is the average yield of winter grains. 20% of winter grain crops are already in storage today. The weather has settled, and we are picking up the pace. The teams of agricultural enterprises are "charged". All managers understand the level of responsibility. We will fulfill our task, – expressed confidence the head of the region.
Denis Pshenny shared his secret of success. This harvest is the second for the leader at the wheel of the combine.
– It’s all about the desire to work, – he emphasized. – We are determined to harvest the grain in the shortest possible time and without losses. Of course, I was worried that the weather was letting us down. And it’s not that I was in a hurry to reach a thousand: I didn’t want to lose a single ear of grain.
For young mechanizer Yevgeny Pshenny, this harvest campaign is the sixth. Last year he crossed the thousand mark second in the region. And this year he became the leader of the harvest among young crews.
– This motivates! There are no difficulties: the equipment does not let us down, the management is understanding, and the salary is high. The most important thing is the desire to work and enthusiasm.
The harvest is in full swing, and ahead of the region's agrarians are new records.
