The Victory Marathon is marching through the Orshansky district!

On March 17, veteran of the Great Patriotic War Efim Emelyanovich Brezgunov celebrated his 98th birthday! Efim Emelyanovich was born in the village of Makarovka in the Goretsky district and at the age of just 18, he was sent to the 1st Belarusian Front, where he served as a machine gunner.

He had the opportunity to liberate the city of Kovel in Western Ukraine, then went to Poland, and reached Berlin. On May 9, 1945, our hero was in the hospital, as the tank he was in was hit and caught fire. For his combat actions, he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War II degree.

In 1949, Efim Emelyanovich started a family and got a job at the Orsha Linen Factory, first as a driver, then as a foreman, and eventually as a master. His work experience totaled 45 years. This wonderful event was celebrated by the Deputy General Director for Ideological Work of the Orsha Linen Factory Sergey Sidin, the Chairwoman of the Orsha District Council of Veterans Zinaida Sergeevna Khaychenko, and the head of the primary reception, analysis, information, and forecasting department of the TCSON of the Orsha district Natalia Komarovskaya, who presented the veteran with flowers and commemorative gifts.

Efim Emelyanovich is a regular recipient of one-time social and domestic services at the TCSON and actively participates in all events. The birthday boy was expressed great gratitude for his life and work path, for his heroism and significant contribution to the development of society and the state.
