The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, congratulated the workers and veterans of the Belarusian Railway on their professional holiday - Railway Workers' Day. This was reported by BELTA from the press service of the head of state.
"The Belarusian Railway" is a crucial link in the country's transport system and a source of pride for its residents. Every year, you transport more than 60 million passengers and over 100 million tons of various cargo. Everyone who uses the services of the Belarusian Railway is absolutely confident in your reliability and punctuality," the congratulation states.
The head of state reminded that the glorious labor traditions of Belarusian railway workers were established with the opening of the first section on the territory of Belarus, the Porechye - Grodno line. "Since then, several generations of locomotive drivers and conductors, dispatchers and station staff, track inspectors and repair engineers have proudly worn the uniform of a Belarusian railway worker and work responsibly for the benefit of their country," noted Alexander Lukashenko.
"I am confident that the improvement of transport management, the development of infrastructure and technologies, and the enhancement of the potential of export transport corridors will allow you to further strengthen your positions and continue moving forward," emphasized the Belarusian leader.
