The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, announced plans to negotiate with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, about the construction of a second nuclear power plant in Belarus. He made this statement during his speech in Moscow at the Global Nuclear Forum, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"Tomorrow, Vladimir Vladimirovich (President of Russia Vladimir Putin - Note from BELTA) and I will consult, talk, and make a decision about the construction of the second nuclear power plant in Belarus," said the head of state.
"We will build together with the Russians," Alexander Lukashenko stated.
