The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, will meet with former Moldovan President Igor Dodon, who currently holds the position of chairman of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM), reports BELTA.
From 2016 to 2020, Igor Dodon served as the President of Moldova. In this capacity, he visited Belarus twice on working visits in 2017 and 2019. During this period, the head of the Belarusian state visited Moldova on an official visit in 2018.
On the morning of July 12, a ceremony was held at the Museum of the Great Patriotic War to sign a memorandum of cooperation between the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova and the "White Russia" party. Igor Dodon also met with representatives of the Moldovan diaspora in Belarus.
PSRM is one of the largest political forces in Moldova, founded in 1997.
