Lukashenko: we have developed very good relations with Pakistan and we will always support them.
Belarus and Pakistan must definitely implement the agreements reached. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on April 11 during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif in a narrow format, reports BELTA correspondent.
Welcoming the high guest, the head of state noted that Shahbaz Sharif, as a child, visited the Belarusian capital with his father. "I hope this city has become as dear to you as our Belarus," said Alexander Lukashenko.
The President pointed out that the day before he had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan that lasted about three hours, where they discussed many issues on the international agenda and what is happening around the two countries, and talked about the prospects for bilateral relations. "We have established very good relations. Relations, as you very rightly said, Mr. Prime Minister, are family-like. Therefore, we will always support this level of relations, and I am confident that after this visit we have no right not to implement our agreements," emphasized the Belarusian leader.
The head of state noted that many large businessmen interested in establishing "specific relations in specific areas" with domestic enterprises came to Belarus as part of the Pakistani delegation.
"You know, we are a machine-building country with a developed agriculture. I know very well what Pakistan needs. You also know well what Belarus needs from Pakistan. I believe that during this visit, government members and leaders of large companies agreed on the prospects for cooperation," noted Alexander Lukashenko.
