Lukashenko approved the appointment of Igor Petrišenko as the first deputy secretary-general of the CIS
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has agreed to appoint Igor Petrishenko as the first deputy secretary general of the Commonwealth of Independent States. This was reported by BELTA from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
Until now, Igor Petrishenko held the position of deputy prime minister overseeing the social sphere. The head of state appointed Vladimir Karanik to this position on March 3, who previously served as the chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee.
