Lukashenko: the next five-year plan will become a time for the youth

The next five-year plan in Belarus will be a time for youth. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on January 24 at the final concert of the "Marathon of Unity" event, reports BELTA correspondent.
"Everything I said and did not say, what we have been thinking about and doing in recent years, needs to be instilled in the minds and hearts of our new generations. I have said many times about continuity, about the fact that in five years more than half of our country will be people born during the period of independence. They did not know the Soviet Empire and, for the most part, did not experience the difficult 90s. And the year 2020 showed that we have not engaged with the youth - and in general - enough. Not as we do today," said Alexander Lukashenko.

He noted that security, the absence of social stratification, accessible healthcare and education, guaranteed first jobs, decent roads, low prices, and comfortable services did not appear in Belarus by themselves or from the internet.

"This is hellish work to build a new country. The next five-year plan will be a time for youth," the President stated. "The task of the older generation is to pass on experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies to the new generation of managers, workers, farmers, athletes, and IT specialists. The involvement of young people in all areas of state activity will be decisive."
