Лукашенко: следует привлечь торговые сети для обслуживания населения в небольших деревнях

Lukashenko: trade networks should be engaged to serve the population in small villages

In small villages, even if they are not promising, trade networks should be attracted to serve the population. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on August 26 at a meeting on the effectiveness of the trade service system for the population across the country, reports a BELTA correspondent.

"In small villages, even if they are not promising, trade networks should be attracted to serve the population," the head of state instructed. "It is necessary to ensure a balance: if you build a profitable business in the capital and other large cities - take on social responsibility for serving consumers in the countryside. Especially since there are not that many problematic areas."

"I want you to hear this. All our smart traders rushed to the big cities, built stores here, live well, although on the Cote d'Azur all the owners and proprietors are here. So organize it so that they work there, in the hinterland," the President voiced his demand. There are tools for this, he noted. For example, recently in eight regions of the country, the opportunities for large network trading to reach consumers were expanded.

Alexander Lukashenko reminded that when appointing Arthur Karpovich as Minister of Trade and Antimonopoly Regulation, he instructed him to reach every remote corner of the country and bring order there. The head of state asked how the system of trade service for the population in rural areas is organized by organizations of all forms of ownership, what has been done in reality, not just in plans. Separately, the President inquired about the availability of assortment in stores, ways to solve staffing issues and attract sellers to rural stores, and minimize the losses of trading organizations.
