Lukashenko talked about plans to connect Minsk and its satellite cities with a fast transport link
In Belarus, it is planned to connect Minsk and the satellite cities with fast transport communication. This was stated by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, on September 12 during the opening ceremony of the reconstructed historical and cultural complex "Loshytskiy" in Minsk, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
The head of state emphasized that the Belarusian capital must be kept comfortable for living and should not be overcrowded, nor should people be drawn here from all regions. Therefore, the development of satellite cities - Rudensk, Dzerzhinsk, Smolevichy, Logoisk, Fanipol, and Zaslavl is underway, where infrastructure is being created for a comfortable life for people, and housing is being built.
And now on the table of the head of state are options for technical solutions on how to connect the capital and the satellite cities with high-speed transport. "We are thinking about how to connect these areas with Minsk using fast technical means. There will either be a railway or a monorail… We will see what is cheaper, what suits us better," Alexander Lukashenko said. "So that people can get from Dzerzhinsk to Minsk in 10 minutes."
