Lukashenko held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Myanmar

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, met on June 27 on the sidelines of the EAEU summit in Minsk with the Chairman of the State Administrative Council, Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Min Aung Hlaing, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

The previous negotiations between the two leaders took place in March of this year. At that time, Min Aung Hlaing visited Belarus on an official visit.

"We have reached serious agreements. And the importance of today's meeting lies in the fact that we can discuss and assess how correct the decisions made were and what we have already done to date, - said Alexander Lukashenko. - We have a very serious mutual interest, and we agreed to develop a specific plan for our joint actions, a certain roadmap, according to which we will organize movement in the near future."

The activities in this roadmap are aimed at developing relations not only in politics and humanitarian areas but also in the trade and economic sphere, the President said.

"We are already starting to implement some directions of our agreements. We are solving problems, even creating joint enterprises on your territory. We have opened a new area of cooperation. I want to assure you that we will act in this direction," - emphasized the head of state.

More details about the steps already taken and the prospects for bilateral interaction were provided by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhankov.
