Lukashenko invited Maduro to Belarus and did not rule out the possibility of his own visit to Venezuela
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, invited the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Venezuela to Russia, Jesus Rafael Salazar Velasquez, for a meeting. It took place on November 25 at the Palace of Independence, reports a BELTA correspondent.
"Venezuela is not a foreign country for Belarus. We have been cooperating with you for a long time, very long. I would like our relations to be more intensive, advanced. There is much to discuss," the head of state stated during the conversation with the diplomat.
In the conversation, the President made a request to the ambassador: "I kindly ask you: please convey to my friend Nicolas Maduro that we are always waiting for him in Belarus. It is time for him to visit here, in Belarus."
Alexander Lukashenko noted that the President of Venezuela might have similar expectations, and therefore did not rule out his visit to Venezuela. "I am convinced that he has the same attitude towards me. I will do everything possible to find time and visit Venezuela. These are problematic, complex, and difficult times. Nevertheless, from any situation, a way out can be found; one just needs to strive for it. You understand this as well as I do," the Belarusian leader stated.
