January 19, Minsk. The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, congratulated the workers and veterans of the emergency situations agencies and units on their professional holiday - Rescuer's Day. This was reported by BELTA in the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"Today we pay tribute to the people who enter the fight against natural disasters and any emergencies, showing self-sacrifice and determination. Your courage and readiness to help have earned deep respect and recognition in society," the congratulation says. "By risking your own lives every day, preserving the life and health of people, as well as property, Belarusian rescuers are a true example of service to the Fatherland. In extreme conditions, you act professionally and confidently, demonstrating bravery and honor."
Alexander Lukashenko expressed sincere gratitude to the veterans of the emergency situations agencies and units, thanks to whom the foundation of the current successes of the agency has been laid. "Special appreciation for teaching the population the rules of conduct and safety, raising new generations of rescuers and patriots," the head of state noted.
He thanked everyone for their resilience, patience, dedication to the cause, and willingness to help anyone in trouble. "May your efforts be duly appreciated, and may your daily diligent work bring new successes and opportunities for development.
