Lukashenko congratulated the President of Tanzania on taking office and suggested deepening cooperation.
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, congratulated Samia Suluhu Hassan on her inauguration as President of the United Republic of Tanzania. This was reported by BELTA from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"The slogan of your election campaign 'Labor and Dignity', its focus on diversifying the economy, modernizing industry and agriculture has resonated in the hearts of Tanzanians," the congratulation states.
The President confirmed Belarus's interest in strengthening partnership ties with Dodoma, which was prompted by the first-ever visit of the Tanzanian government leader to Minsk in July 2025. "Our countries have significant potential for deepening political dialogue and activating cooperation in trade and economy, scientific and technical, humanitarian, and other areas," the head of state noted. "Minsk is ready to assist in the implementation of programs for the economic and technological development of Tanzania and to offer Belarusian experience in the successful implementation of agricultural mechanization projects and ensuring food security on the African continent."
The head of state expressed confidence that Samia Suluhu Hassan's further work in her responsible state position will contribute to the expansion of comprehensive Belarusian-Tanzanian relations. Alexander Lukashenko wished his colleague health, happiness, and the realization of all plans and initiatives.
