Lukashenko confirmed Belarus's interest in building long-term ties with Kenya
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, congratulated the President of Kenya, William Ruto, on the national holiday - Independence Day. This was reported by BELTA from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"More than 60 years ago, the Kenyan people defended their right to independence and their own development. Today, Kenya is a leading economic and diplomatic hub of Africa, playing a constructive role in continental processes and addressing current issues on the international agenda," the congratulation states.
The head of state noted that Belarus considers Kenya a reliable partner in East Africa and seeks to enhance cooperation. "I confirm our interest in increasing long-term sustainable ties in bilateral trade, industrial cooperation, scientific and technical, humanitarian, and other areas, as we agreed during our meeting in Nairobi at the end of 2023," emphasized the Belarusian leader.
Alexander Lukashenko is convinced that William Ruto's visit to Minsk will allow for the launch of specific economic projects for the benefit of the citizens of both states.
The President of Belarus wished the President of Kenya good health, personal happiness, and unwavering success, and to the people of that country - peace and prosperity.
