Lukashenko signed a decree on an information system for the exchange of data on foreign citizens and stateless persons
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, signed decree No. 107 on March 12 "On the Information System for Exchanging Information about Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons." This was reported to the Belta correspondent by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The decree is adopted with the aim of improving approaches to the formation of a unified migration space based on the common principles of the states - participants of the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State. The document is aimed at implementing the Belarusian-Russian intergovernmental agreement on mutual recognition of visas and other issues related to the entry of foreign citizens and stateless persons into the territories of the states - participants of the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State.
The decree provides for the creation of an information system for exchanging information about border crossings at checkpoints, issued and confiscated (canceled) documents for entry and exit (transit), as well as those confirming the identity of foreign citizens and stateless persons on the territory of the Union State.
The functioning of the information system will allow for the exchange of information in electronic form in real-time about citizens of third countries, which will increase the efficiency and simplify the procedures for interaction between state bodies and organizations in ensuring national and public security.
