Лукашенко: нынешнее поколение спасателей продолжает традиции самоотверженного служения Беларуси

Lukashenko: the current generation of rescuers continues the traditions of selfless service to Belarus

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, congratulated the workers and veterans of the emergency services with their professional holiday - Fire Service Day. This was reported by BELTA from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"This is a day of honoring brave, courageous, strong people - all those who engage in uncompromising battles with dangerous elements, eliminate the consequences of emergencies, and protect citizens and their property, economic facilities, and natural resources for many decades," the congratulation states.

The President emphasized that Belarusians are proud of the feats of firefighters who, in the early days of the Great Patriotic War, faced the deadly fire of enemy aviation: "Under the hail of incendiary and high-explosive bombs, without the cover of air defense, the combat crews of urban fire brigades pulled the wounded from the rubble, tirelessly fighting the sources of ignition. Many died while fulfilling their official duty, defending their homeland with weapons in hand against the German-fascist invaders."

"The traditions of selfless service to the country and the people laid down by our heroes are continued by the current generation of emergency service workers, who work to prevent fire hazards, respond promptly and professionally to calls, and save lives," noted Alexander Lukashenko.

The head of state wished everyone good health, well-being, happiness, peace, and kindness, as well as further success in their dangerous and courageous service.

To the workers and veterans of the emergency services of the Republic of Belarus

Dear comrades!

I congratulate you on your professional holiday - Fire Service Day.

This is a day of honoring brave, courageous, strong people - all those who engage in uncompromising battles with dangerous elements, eliminate the consequences of emergencies, and protect citizens and their property, economic facilities, and natural resources for many decades.

We are proud of the feats of Belarusian firefighters who, in the early days of the Great Patriotic War, faced the deadly fire of enemy aviation. Under the hail of incendiary and high-explosive bombs, without the cover of air defense, the combat crews of urban fire brigades pulled the wounded from the rubble, tirelessly fighting the sources of ignition. Many died while fulfilling their official duty, defending their homeland with weapons in hand against the German-fascist invaders.

The traditions of selfless service to the country and the people laid down by our heroes are continued by the current generation of emergency service workers, who work to prevent fire hazards, respond promptly and professionally to calls, and save lives.

I wish everyone good health, well-being, happiness, peace, and kindness. Further success to you in your dangerous and courageous service. Take care of yourselves and our dear Belarus.

Alexander Lukashenko,
