Lukashenko called technological modernization one of the main issues in cooperation with China
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, called technological modernization in the industrial sector one of the main issues on the Belarusian-Chinese agenda. This was stated by the head of state during negotiations in Beijing with representatives of Chinese business circles, reports BELTA correspondent.
"Tomorrow we will meet with the Chairman of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, and one of the main issues is the machine engineering sector and the technological modernization of certain areas of industry in Belarus," said the head of state. "I said this so that you understand - this is not a wonderful idea that belongs to me, which is very much needed by our economy today. This is the idea of the Chairman of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, who, as we see, is focused on a scientific and technological, let's even say, revolution in machine engineering in China and in the world."
"I am very grateful to my long-time friend and colleague for connecting Belarus to this process, which has gained very high momentum in China - modernization and (creation. - Ed. BELTA) of high-level production," added the Belarusian leader.
