Lukashenko called the decision to build a third nuclear power unit at the nuclear power plant important for strengthening the country's sovereignty
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, congratulated the workers and veterans of the energy sector on their professional holiday - Energy Day. This was reported by BELTA in the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"The fuel and energy complex of the country is one of the key sectors of the national economy, ensuring the stable operation of domestic enterprises and the functioning of social facilities," the congratulation states. "Modern, reliable, dynamic enterprises of the energy system create highly productive jobs and play an important role in the development of cities and regions."
The head of state noted that the launch of two power units of the Belarusian nuclear power plant has strengthened the energy potential of the republic like never before. "The decision to build the third power unit was a timely and important step towards further development of Belarus and strengthening its sovereignty," the President stated.
Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that all the achievements of the industry, unique experience, and competencies are the result of the daily work of a large and friendly team.
"I am convinced that your professionalism, accumulated knowledge and skills, as well as long-standing labor traditions will be the key to effectively solving the tasks set," the Belarusian leader stressed.
The President wished all workers and veterans of the industry health, happiness, inexhaustible energy, new labor achievements, and peaceful skies above their heads.
