Lukashenko at a seminar on agricultural topics: the task – to shake up the country
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, during an off-site seminar on agricultural topics for authorized representatives and assistants of the head of state in the regions, set the task of shaking up the country, reports a BELTA correspondent.
"Our task is to shake up the country today so that, God forbid, there is no hibernation. Your task, I say in military terms, is to shake up the country through the vertical of power. In this case - wintering (in animal husbandry. - Note. BELTA) and preparation for spring sowing. We are proud that we sold more than $8 billion worth of agricultural products. That's great, but we can lose it. As it usually happens: we got complacent, everything is fine - we lost it. Therefore, we need to ensure that, after shaking ourselves up, we have at least $9 billion this year, or even $10 billion from food sales. Food prices will continue to rise," the head of state said.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that he is currently categorically dissatisfied with the work of the authorized representatives of the head of state in the regions, as well as the assistants. In this regard, he demands clear organization of this system from the Presidential Administration.
"The assistant should be closed off to you (addressing the head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Krutoy. - Note. BELTA), and you report to me about this. Today I am thinking, maybe change this system. But assistants need to be activated. Authorized representatives - well, from time to time, you are engaged in showmanship. But I know that you are not delivering results," the Belarusian leader stated.
