Lukashenko gave an interview to the intergovernmental television and radio company "MIR"

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, gave an interview to the interstate television and radio company "Mir" on April 8, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

The interviewer was Radik Batyrshin, the chairman of the MTRK "Mir". He has held this position since 2007. Batyrshin has participated in a number of major television projects and has acted as the author and organizer of socially significant informational events, including the international telethon "Our Victory", dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and the project "Watch of Memory" for the 70th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.

During the interview, a wide range of topics was discussed, including interstate cooperation in organizations such as the CIS, EAEU, and BRICS, trade and economic cooperation between individual countries and on a global track, ensuring security in the region, and improving the welfare of citizens. Special attention was given to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the necessity of preserving historical memory.

The interstate television and radio company "Mir" was established by the decision of the heads of CIS states on October 9, 1992, with the aim of preserving a common information space and facilitating international information exchange within the CIS. National branches and representations of the organization operate in nine countries.

The MTRK "Mir" includes the channels "MIR", "MIR 24", the radio station "MIR", the information and analytical portal "MIR24.TV", and the multifunctional satellite system "Mir-Teleport". The total audience reach of the channel "MIR" is over 180 million people, and "MIR 24" is 80 million people.

The core of the broadcasting consists of information and analytical programs that cover key events in the CIS countries and the world, as well as educational, entertainment, and journalistic programs, and documentary films produced in-house. A significant portion of the airtime is allocated to feature films and series.
