Lukashenko gave an interview to a Chinese media corporation

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, today gave an interview to the China Media Group, as reported by BELTA in the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The interviewer was the host and correspondent Zuo Yun, who specializes in covering international news and political topics.

The interview was organized ahead of major international events in China - the SCO summit and the Victory Parade in Beijing, to which the head of the Belarusian state is invited among world leaders.

The China Media Group is a state-owned entity. It is one of the largest media conglomerates in the world. It is directly subordinate to the State Council of the People's Republic of China. Its headquarters is located in Beijing.
The corporation includes 51 television channels, 23 radio frequency bands for broadcasting within China, and programs in 44 languages for an international audience. As of today, CMG's media resources are available in 143 countries and regions worldwide.

The audience reach is over 1 billion people in China and beyond. Broadcasting is conducted 24/7 in five languages, including Russian.
Since October 2022, more than 130 well-known global political leaders have been guests on the program.

Diplomatic relations between Belarus and China were established on January 20, 1992. Both countries have embassies. Belarusian consulates are open in the Chinese cities of Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, and the special administrative region of Hong Kong. 

The President of Belarus has visited the People's Republic of China 15 times.
