Lukashenko: The Belarusian-Uzbek women's business forum serves as a starting point for new agreements
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, sent greetings to the participants of the III Belarusian-Uzbek Women's Business Forum, which is being held this year in Vitebsk, as reported by BELTA from the press service of the head of state.
"It is symbolic that this meeting takes place in the year of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In those grim hours, Belarusians and Uzbeks fought bravely side by side on the fronts against a common enemy. And today there are no dividing lines between our peoples, and the strong friendly ties have stood the test of time," the greeting says. "Evidence of this is the dynamic development of bilateral relations between Belarus and Uzbekistan in all areas without exception - from the economy to humanitarian cooperation."
The success of joint initiatives is largely due to the active position of Belarusian and Uzbek women, who play a significant role in promoting and protecting the interests of both states, the President noted.
"I am confident that the now traditional women's business forum will serve as a starting point for new agreements that will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries and enhancing the well-being of their citizens," the head of state emphasized.
Alexander Lukashenko wished all participants of the event fruitful and constructive work, and to business representatives - the implementation of planned projects in the name of the prosperity of the peoples of Belarus and Uzbekistan.
