Lukashenko: Belarus expects the successful implementation of projects with Pakistan
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, on behalf of his compatriots and himself personally, congratulated the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, the Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and all the residents of this country on the national holiday - Independence Day. This was reported by BELTA from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"The history of your country vividly demonstrates the determination of the people in defending sovereignty and independence, its peacefulness, and commitment to a just world order," the congratulatory message to the President of Pakistan states.
The President of Belarus emphasized that Minsk considers Islamabad its reliable friend and partner: "We are open to large-scale intergovernmental cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral formats. I am confident that in the near future we will be able to make the most effective use of the existing great potential of Belarusian-Pakistani interaction."
In his congratulation to Shahbaz Sharif, Alexander Lukashenko reminded of the recent meetings in Islamabad and Minsk. "I hope for the successful implementation of all agreements on the realization of projects in the fields of machine engineering, light industry, and other sectors, as well as on the supply of BELAZ dump trucks to Pakistan and the sending of Pakistani qualified specialists to work in Belarus," the head of state noted.
The Belarusian leader emphasized his openness to discussing any issues with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, as well as his readiness to develop mutually beneficial solutions.
