Lukashenko: Belarus places great importance on maintaining friendly relations with Estonia
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, congratulated the people of Estonia on Independence Day on behalf of his compatriots and himself. This was reported by BELTA from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The head of state noted that Belarus attaches great importance to preserving friendly relations with Estonia based on historical and cultural closeness, long-standing friendship, and mutual respect. "We must cherish and respect the heritage given to us by our ancestors," the congratulation states.
Unfortunately, at the current stage, artificially created barriers hinder the renewal of mutual trust and dialogue, the President noted.
"I am convinced that together we will overcome all temporary restrictions for the prosperity and well-being of our states. To cooperate and talk with neighbors even in contradictory times, to strive to resolve everything peacefully is the right path. I confirm that Belarus has always been and remains a supporter of this approach," the head of state emphasized.
Alexander Lukashenko wished all residents of Estonia confidence in the present day, and a peaceful and successful future.
