Lukashenko: Belarus is ready for a constructive dialogue with Sofia based on respect and equality
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, congratulated the people of Bulgaria on their national holiday - Liberation Day, which embodies the heroism and courage of many generations of Bulgarians, their aspiration for self-determination and the defense of national interests, and the establishment of their own statehood. This was reported by BELTA in the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"In Belarus, Bulgaria has always been perceived as an important European partner with close values and mentality," the congratulation states. "Minsk remains true to its beliefs today, ready for a peaceful and constructive dialogue with Sofia based on respect and equality."
The head of state expressed confidence that both countries can find ways to restore full-fledged relations, and that Belarusians and Bulgarians will continue to work and be friends together, thereby contributing to mutual understanding on the European continent.
On behalf of the Belarusian people, Alexander Lukashenko wished all residents of Bulgaria - the wonderful sunny country - a peaceful future, harmony, and prosperity, and also assured them of the unwavering friendly attitude from Belarus and invited them to visit our hospitable country.
