The best volunteer company was chosen in Orsha

In Orsha a competition was held for the title of "Best Volunteer Squad" and "Best Squad Member".

To win and earn the high title, teams had to go through several stages. In the first stage (remote), participants provided the jury with information about the work of the volunteer squad and its members for the reporting period. In the second stage, the squad members were tested on their theoretical knowledge of the regulatory and legal framework for the activities of volunteer squads, public order protection, and first aid.

After passing two rounds, four teams were admitted to the final stage "Physical Fitness Check of the Volunteer Squad": OAO "Legmash Plant", the branch "Orshavodokanal" of the Vitebsk Oblvodokanal, RUPTP "Orsha Linen Mill", and last year's winners – the team of the Orsha Distance of Civil Structures of the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Railway. The sports stage took place in two rounds. The first was organized at the sports complex "Legmash".

At the solemn opening ceremony of the sports land, the Deputy Chairperson of the Orsha District Executive Committee Anastasia Prokofyeva addressed the volunteer squads.

After that, the chief judge of the competition Sergey Kolesov acquainted the teams with the upcoming tasks of the sports land. The volunteer squads had to overcome eight challenges: hitting the target, snake, tunnel, pass – sit, rhythmic relay, long jump from a standstill, ball hockey, and keeping a tennis ball on a racket.

In the final of the first stage, there was a captain's contest "Harvest Gathering". In one minute, team leaders had to collect a harvest of bowling pins with their eyes closed.

Based on the results of all competitive trials, the jury determined the top three, who had to find out whose volunteer squad was better. For this right, OAO "Legmash Plant", the branch "Orshavodokanal" of the Vitebsk Oblvodokanal, and RUPTP "Orsha Linen Mill" competed.

This time, the organizers prepared an unusual challenge for the teams. The second round of the third stage took place at the sports shooting club "Fora". The teams and squad members had to overcome five challenges for speed and accuracy of shooting with pneumatic weapons.

According to the results of this stage and the total points scored in the competition, the prize places were distributed as follows. The title of "Best Squad Member" and the cup for first place was won by Yevgeny Kanadeev (Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant). Following him on the podium was Elena Podbelskaya (Orsha Regional Center for Entrepreneurship and Real Estate Support). The top three was completed by Emma Kosenko (Orsha Construction Trust No. 18).

Among the volunteer squads, the honorable third place was taken by the team of RUPTP "Orsha Linen Mill". The "silver" went to the team of the branch "Orshavodokanal" of the Vitebsk Oblvodokanal. And the title of "Best Volunteer Squad" and first place was won by the team of OAO "Legmash Plant".
