The doll-symbol of the Vitebsk region was presented at the regional forum of the Belarusian Women's Union "Parental love – a great force"
Guests and participants of the forum were warmly welcomed at Vitebsk Secondary School No. 12 named after L.N. Filipenko.
A grand celebration organized by the regional organization of the Belarusian Women's Union crowned the Week of Parental Love, filled with charitable events and holidays in honor of Mother's and Father's Days.
The gifts of generous autumn, arranged in intricate compositions, not only highlighted the rich imagination of the participants of the primary organizations of the BWU but also brought good mood, delighting with a riot of colors and forms.
As part of the forum, the traditional event "Mom's Pies" took place. Delicious pastries and homemade preserves were presented to the soldiers of the 103rd Airborne Brigade.
Families were invited to the celebration, which have become examples of sincere love and respect, the large family of Vyalov, which has 13 children, and a young family. Addressing them, the deputy chairman of the regional executive committee Vyacheslav Durnov emphasized:
-- Family is the foundation on which every state stands. And if there are more families like yours, our country will be stronger.
Love cements families: both parents' love for children and children's love for parents. Young people should not postpone having children: it is the laughter of children that binds the family together.
A doll exhibition attracted great attention, presented at the competition of the regional organization of the BWU, which took place from August to October 2025.
-- Today is indeed a celebration that passes through the hearts of all caring people, - noted the chairwoman of the regional organization of the BWU Marina Novitskaya. - The Week of Parental Love started on October 14 on Mother's Day and ends on the youngest holiday, Father's Day. Today we express our gratitude to those who gave us life, who allow us to feel like children.
It is symbolic that today we summarize the results of our competition for creating a doll - the symbol of our organization. All works were made with love and deserve praise. The jury found it difficult to determine the very best, but based on the voting results, the work of the master of folk artistic crafts of the Dokshitsy District House of Crafts, Tatyana Martinovich, won.
The results of the competition "Women for the Food Security of Their Family and Their Country" were also announced, in which the Grand Prix was awarded to the primary organization of the BWU of the regional center of psychiatry and narcology.
The Week of Parental Love concluded with a festive concert.
