On May 7, a capsule with a message for future generations was ceremoniously laid in the future Labor Glory Square on Sergei Hrytsyevets Street.
Construction work will soon begin on the prepared site. A stele "Orsha – City of Labor Glory 1941-1945" will be erected here, and around it, a new recreation area for the residents of Orsha will appear, featuring shady trees, cozy alleys, and blooming flowerbeds.
For the second week now, vigilant residents of Orsha have been bombarding the editorial office of the "Arshanskaya Gazeta" with questions about the whereabouts of the heavy stone with the time capsule and who stole it? They send photo and video reports as confirmation. They are also addressing this issue to the Orsha District Executive Committee and actively discussing the news on social media, which has already started to attract various rumors. It’s time to clarify everything.
During the construction work, the stone with the time capsule was sent for safekeeping to the State Unitary Enterprise "Orsha Special Auto Base". It is located on the territory of the municipal enterprise. The journalist from "Arshanka" personally confirmed this. The stone will return to its original place as soon as all work on the arrangement of the square is completed.
