The concert of the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus “If We Are United” took place in Novopolotsk.
Warmly, soulfully, and in a familial way, the honored collective was welcomed in Vitebsk region, a collective that needs no additional introduction.
Who among us cannot hum "Kupalinka", "My Native Land"? Belarusian classics. But the orchestra's repertoire also includes new songs, the melodies of which are recognized from the first chords and the words sing themselves: "If we are united", "Time chose us", "Bulba Dance". The "Marathon of Unity" has traveled with them practically all over the country.
- Every city in our country is a pearl, and the "Marathon of Unity" gradually strings them together into a large and beautiful necklace. For us, it is a bonus that Novopolotsk is one of the youngest cities in our country, built on the land where Belarusian statehood was born, where the center of Slavic culture is located. The oil city became the third city in Vitebsk region to adorn this necklace, - noted the chairman of the regional executive committee, Alexander Subbotin.
The "Marathon of Unity" has visited various cities in our country. This allowed us once again to feel how united we are. United in the aspiration to keep our country independent and sovereign. Our unity lies in the fact that we love our country immensely, we are proud of our history, - expressed her opinion the chairwoman of the Council of the Republic, Natalia Kochanova. - This unexpected and "unscheduled" visit of the largest and most patriotic action to Novopolotsk is a unique opportunity to feel the special atmosphere of unconditional love for one's country, pride for the people, its past and present.
