MTS has improved the quality of connection in the 4G network in more than 100 settlements across all regions of Belarus

Residents of 50 regions of the country will feel the improvement in data transmission and voice call quality of VoLTE.

A total of 127 base stations in all frequency bands of 4G have become additionally available to MTS subscribers. With their activation, the coverage area will expand, as well as the speed of mobile internet. Collaboration with the infrastructure operator beCloud allows for improving 4G connectivity for the company's subscribers.

This time, the expansion of the MTS network affected the capital, regional and district centers, agrotowns, villages, and other populated areas. The majority of base stations became available in the Brest, Vitebsk, and Minsk regions. In Brest region alone, the improvement affected 12 out of 16 districts of the region.

Among the cities under district jurisdiction, the 4G network expansion included Baranovichi, Borisov, Hantsavichy, Horki, Dyatlovo, Lida, Luninec, Lyakhovichi, Osipovichi, Pinsk, Pukhovichi, and Slonim. Quality improvements also occurred at new stations of the capital's metro, at several strategic enterprises, healthcare facilities, and sports venues.

MTS is the largest telecommunications operator in Belarus by the number of subscribers. More than 5.7 million subscribers use its services. In 2015, the company was the first in Belarus to provide subscribers with access to 4G connectivity, and in 2022, it launched voice calls using VoLTE technology. Today, digital services based on 4G cover the territory where 99.26% of the country's population resides.

According to data from "BelGIE", by the end of 2024, MTS recorded the highest share of 4G sessions with download speeds of 5 Mbps or more.
