How early voting takes place in Orsha | photo
On January 21, early voting began in Belarus for the Presidential elections of the Republic of Belarus.
A journalist from the "Orsha Newspaper" visited polling station No. 18, located in the Orsha College of VGU named after P. M. Masherov, and met the first voters.
Exactly at 12:00, the polling station opened its doors. Despite the fact that voting had just started, many people were eager to make their choice. There are 1235 registered voters at the station. Mostly, these are residents of nearby districts and streets, including 40 college students who are participating in the elections for the first time.
The first voters at the station were 4th-year students majoring in "foreign language (English)" Anastasia Brichko, Anna Prudnikova, Alexandra Antonovich, Ekaterina Pashkevich and Darya Zakhodaya. Activist and simply a beauty, Anastasia Brichko is passionate about music, dancing, and modeling. She is the head of the dance studio "Style" at the Orsha College of VGU named after P. M. Masherov.
– Participation in elections is not only my right but also a civic responsibility. I care about the future of my country, so I vote for peace, tranquility, and stability, — says Anastasia.
Meanwhile, 3rd-year students Anna Israelyan and Yegor Yukhnevich are participating in the elections for the first time. Both guys are from Talachin, Anna studies English, while Yegor studies software for information technologies. As first-time voters, they were presented with a gift book "Symbols of Sovereign Belarus" and branded t-shirts from BRSM with the logo "MY VOICE IS FIRST".
We remind you that early voting will last until January 25 inclusive. Citizens can make their choice from 12:00 to 19:00. On the main election day, January 26, polling stations will operate from 8:00 to 20:00.

At polling station No. 43, located in Secondary School No. 13 of Orsha named after I. I. Yakubovsky, people began to arrive before the opening – elderly citizens and youth.
A queue formed from the first minutes of opening at polling station No. 33, located in Secondary School No. 21 of Orsha. Voters received ballots immediately upon presenting their passport or another document proving their identity, then proceeded to booths, filled them out, and dropped them into the ballot box.
Observers took their places. Volunteers were stationed at the school door, directing visitors on how to proceed to the polling station.
