How to ensure the safety of your property at the dacha
In the Orsha district, there are 79 gardening cooperatives (8,621 gardening plots). In 2024, 11 thefts from summer houses were reported.
Over the past year, the Orsha ROVD conducted 302 inspections of the security status at facilities of various forms of ownership to prevent thefts.
The main reason contributing to thefts is the careless and negligent attitude towards the safety of property by the citizens themselves.
The police remind summer house owners of the safety rules:
- lock the house during your absence;
- do not take expensive items to the summer house;
- do not leave them in the house if you plan to step out;
- report suspicious individuals appearing in the area of summer house complexes and gardening societies to the police;
- remove valuable items from the summer house for the autumn-winter period.
The most effective measure against thieves is to conclude a contract for the installation of a security alarm.
If you discover that uninvited guests have visited your summer house, do not rush to clean up the traces of their presence. If you plan to seek help from law enforcement, wait for the arrival of the operational group and do not touch anything in the house. Otherwise, it will be difficult for police officers to find the traces left by the criminal at the crime scene.
