How is the voting going in Barani?

For the residents of Orsha district, January 26, 2025, is an important historical date. Today, they, along with the entire Belarusian people, are choosing their national leader and determining the future of their homeland. Voting stations are open without interruption from 8 a.m. in the city of Baran.

The doors are open at polling station No. 56, located in the Baran gymnasium. Already from the threshold, the cheerful voices of children can be heard. The exemplary folklore group "Shchadryki" from the local House of Culture is giving a concert. Friendly members of the precinct commission quickly and accurately register voters. Observers are monitoring everything that is happening. Music, beautiful hall decorations, flags, balloons, flowers – all this creates a friendly atmosphere of celebration. People go into booths, make marks, and drop their ballots into the ballot boxes.

–  At our polling station, 872 voters are registered. By 1:00 p.m., more than half have voted. 70 residents of Baran were visited at home and they also made their choice, – noted the secretary of the precinct commission Rima Maksimovich.

There is a mobile trade in the foyer. The cook Tatyana Kozlova said that the cafeteria of the gymnasium has taken care of a diverse assortment of dishes from the national Belarusian cuisine and presented them both in the gymnasium and in Secondary School No. 15, where polling station No. 53 is located.

Despite the active participation of Baran residents in early voting, it is crowded on the main day of the presidential elections of Belarus at polling station No. 52, which is located in dormitory No. 3 of the municipal unitary enterprise "Orshakomhoz".  A young mother Yulia Barabanova entered the voting hall with a large flow of voters. With her are her children and her goddaughter.

– I want my children to have an understanding from childhood of how the elections of the Head of State take place, and we also want to see a concert of amateur art, – she said.

They are fulfilling their civic duty and choosing a President at other polling stations in Baran as well.
