Inna Khomutovskaya: "Our task as delegates is to bring our ideas into the country's development process."
Inna Khomutovskaya, delegate of the VNS, chairperson of the Orsha District Council of Deputies:
– The first meeting of the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly left an indelible impression on me. After all, we were adopting the documents that would determine the future of the country, so to speak, we were working for the future. I expect a lot from the next meeting of the VNS, because I fully understand that the program for the socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus for 2026-2030 will be discussed. And our task as delegates is to contribute our ideas to the country's development process. The program defines the benchmarks, goals, and tasks by which Belarus will continue to develop. It will allow us to make plans for the future in every corner of the country. The Orsha district is also developing its roadmap.
If we talk about the work of the deputy corps of the Orsha region, it primarily concerns budget issues. It remains socially oriented, and our main goal is to solve socially significant problems of the population in the region. People living in remote settlements must have normal infrastructure and receive a range of necessary services. This is important when a mobile shop, a mobile health post, or a bus can reach the village. And for this, access roads and good roads are needed.
This year, we actively addressed issues regarding the quality of dirt roads in five rural councils. We brought them to a normal state so as not to return to this topic during the muddy season. Almost all requests that had been under control for 2-5 years regarding road surface repairs were resolved. Next year, we will continue this practice.
