2025 — YEAR OF PROSPERITY

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No 1, by which 2025 was declared the Year of Improvement.

This year marks the start of a five‑year quality program and provides a set of measures aimed at creating and maintaining a convenient, safe, modern, and aesthetically organized living environment for people. The state will implement these measures together with organizations and citizens.

Main directions

In 2025, large-scale measures will be adopted in the following areas:

  • Restoring order on Earth
  • Improvement of settlements
  • Improvement of production facilities
  • Maintenance of territories along motorways and railways in proper condition
  • Holding at least two republican subbotniks

The government is taskedApprove the republican plan of activities for the Year of Improvement within a month.

Volunteer movement

The decree provides activation of the volunteer movementand the implementation of civic initiatives aimed at improving the country.

The year of improvement is intended to unite the efforts of the state and societyfor further improvement of the quality of life in the Republic of Belarus.
