The head of the Orshansky district, Igor Moroz, met with the workers of the plant “Red Fighter”
The head of the Orsha district, Igor Moroz, visited the machine tool factory "Red Fighter." He walked through the workshops with the management of the enterprise, got acquainted with the production, and communicated with the staff.
Today, Orsha machine builders produce flat grinding and milling machines, special grinding machines by customer orders, and create highly automated equipment. The products of "Red Fighter" are known in more than 115 countries around the world.
During the dialogue with the chairman of the district executive committee, the factory workers discussed issues of development in the Orsha region and urban environment, as well as the upcoming elections for the President of the Republic of Belarus. All the topics raised are important and relevant for the region: from the quality of medical services, salaries, retention of young specialists to comfortable living in Orsha. Thus, Igor Alexandrovich was asked a question regarding the operation of public transport in the city. Yes, the problem exists. The district leadership has been addressing this issue since last year. In the winter of 2024, measures were taken to provide the bus fleet with sponsorship assistance from regional enterprises, which sent drivers with a category D license on a contractual basis for temporary work on bus routes. Additional subsidies were also allocated from the district budget to cover costs for urban transportation, which significantly increased bus drivers' salaries. These measures have already yielded positive results. The situation with passenger transportation is gradually stabilizing. This year, the city plans to purchase 9 new buses, one of which is already operating on chartered routes. To strengthen the image of the bus driver profession, further salary increases are planned. In 2024 alone, AP No. 3 hired more than 20 bus drivers, 9 of whom were retrained at the company's expense. The workers of "Red Fighter" also asked the district leadership to pay attention to the rhythmic operation of bus route No. 3, especially on weekends. There were questions regarding the development of urban infrastructure: creating a favorable environment for cyclists, lighting pedestrian crossings, road repairs, etc.
The head of the district, Igor Moroz, spoke about the upcoming plans for improving the region: the restoration of park zones in Orsha will continue, including the children's park "Fairy Tale Land," repairs of courtyard territories, etc. He also emphasized that modernization and the creation of new jobs are priorities in production today, while for the city, the construction of housing and the creation of comfortable living conditions for the residents of Orsha are essential. Igor Alexandrovich answered all the factory workers' questions and, at the end of the meeting, reminded them of the important political event – the elections for the President of the Republic of Belarus, which will take place on January 26.
