The traffic police are holding the first Unified Day of Road Safety of the year in Orsha

Today, the State Traffic Inspectorate is conducting the first Unified Day of Road Safety this year under the slogan "Follow the rules – save lives!".

The preventive event aims to promote compliance with road safety rules by all participants in road traffic, to foster a legal culture, and to encourage mutual respect on the road.

As part of the campaign, employees of the traffic police department of the Orsha district executive committee are conducting explanatory work in labor collectives and educational institutions, reminding about the consequences of reckless behavior and the responsibility for various violations in the field of road safety.

Preventive work is also organized with citizens on roads with heavy traffic. In conversations with drivers, they remind them to adhere to speed limits, to strictly follow traffic light signals and road signs. Special attention is paid to safety measures when driving a car on winter roads, and the condition of tires is also monitored.

Pedestrians are urged to be attentive when crossing the roadway and to use reflective elements at night.

Changeable weather will continue to test drivers and pedestrians. The traffic police remind: predictable and reasonable behavior of all road users will help avoid tragedies and make the roads safer.
