The traffic police presented the results of the special comprehensive event "Attention – children!"
The special comprehensive event "Attention – Children!" has concluded, which was traditionally held across the country from May 25 to June 5 and aimed at preventing child road traffic injuries ahead of the summer holidays.
During the event, employees of the traffic police department, as well as other police services, conducted presentations in educational institutions of the Orsha district, discussions with minors and parents. Safety was ensured during the ceremonial line-ups dedicated to the end of the school year.
In addition to preventive measures, raid activities were also conducted to stop violations of traffic rules. During the "Attention – Children!" event, traffic police officers in the Orsha region stopped more than a thousand traffic violations. They recorded 195 instances of drivers operating vehicles during daylight hours without their low beam headlights on and 16 instances of violations of child passenger transportation rules.
Schoolchildren have begun their summer holidays, during which a large number of children will be moving on the roads, playing in yards, and riding various means of transportation. The traffic police urge drivers to adhere to speed limits, be extremely attentive when approaching unregulated pedestrian crossings, public transport stops, and in yards, as well as to ensure the safe transportation of children in vehicles.
