Energy workers, as part of the "From the Heart" campaign, congratulated the elderly residents of the Orshansky district
Today, the territorial center for social services of the population of the Orsha district welcomed representatives of the fuel and energy sector of the country and the region.
As part of the republican charitable campaign for elderly citizens "From the Bottom of Our Hearts," the state institution was visited by the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Reentovich, the General Director of the republican unitary enterprise "Vitebskenergo" Sergey Shidlovsky, the General Director of the production republican unitary enterprise "Vitebskoblgaz" Alexander Brantsevich and the district leadership headed by the Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee Igor Moroz.
– Elderly people especially need attention, – noted Sergey Reentovich. – The campaign "From the Bottom of Our Hearts" brings warmth and care for the older generation and teaches our youth to respect elderly people and provide them with necessary assistance. The Ministry of Energy actively visits social institutions, veterans, and elderly people at home who need any help. I am sure that such events unite us all in the desire to multiply and preserve our best traditions.
In the foyer of the institution, an exhibition of creative works by craftsmen from the day stay department for elderly citizens in the village of Babinichi was presented. Then, the most active, young-at-heart visitors shared about themselves and their creative achievements in a warm atmosphere.
Among the honored guests of the meeting were a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a participant in the partisan movement, who at the age of 12 became a liaison in the squad named after K. E. Voroshilov of the first partisan brigade named after K. S. Zaslonov Anastasia Kononova and a veteran of combat operations in Afghanistan, a labor veteran Valentina Machkova. Anastasia Nikitichna is 92 years old and was happy to attend such a heartfelt event, expressing sincere gratitude to everyone who cares for veterans and finds time to communicate with elderly people. Valentina Ivanovna, as a creative person – a freelance correspondent for the "Orshanskaya Gazeta," passionate about playing the button accordion – added a musical touch to the meeting by playing her musical instrument.
The visitors of the day stay department and schoolchildren of the city prepared a bright creative program, and the invited guests presented the TCSON of the Orsha district with necessary gifts: cash certificates, office equipment, and household items for home comfort.
