United in the desire to make the country better. Lukashenko, on the eve of March 8, presented state awards to women.
Belarusian women are united in their desire to make their country better and happier. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during the presentation of state awards in honor of Women's Day, reports a BELTA correspondent.
Traditionally, the event took place at the Palace of Independence, and all attention, of course, was only on women - beautiful, smart, talented, as the head of state described them.
As the President noted, the solemn award ceremony on the eve of March 8 is different from others: it is always very warm, sincere, and soulful. "The year 2026 in Belarus is dedicated to you. So different, but united in the desire to make our country better and happier. This is probably the essence of our (Belarusian. - Ed. BELTA) woman," he said.
On this day at the Palace of Independence, modest workers, true professionals, keepers of national traditions and the home hearth, and most importantly - mothers are honored.
"Most of the women in this hall have been awarded the brightest state award - the Order of Mother - for giving birth to and raising five or more children," emphasized Alexander Lukashenko. He noted the increase in the number of large families in Belarus - over the past five years, their number has increased by 15%. Three or more children are raised by 120,000 couples.
"There are such goal-oriented, I would even say heroic parents, who have 10 heirs. Especially our southerners, the Brest region, are famous for this. And the absolute record holders - a family with 14 children! This is in the Minsk region. If health allows - we should take an example from them," the head of state directed.
The President expressed confidence that people, looking at the participants of the ceremony - such blooming and happy ones, will think about having a second child, and then a third. "The state will support such people. No matter how difficult and complicated it may be, - he assured. - A family, a real, strong one, with ringing children's voices, is not only a continuation of someone's surname but a continuation of the entire Belarusian people."
Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that in Belarus, all opportunities have been created for women to succeed in any profession if they wish. "You are a bright confirmation of this. You achieve impressive success in various fields," noted the Belarusian leader.
For example, among the awardees is Galina Radoman, who has been leading the Snovskaya Secondary School for decades. "Galina Vasilievna Radoman is a true rural teacher. A person with vast life and professional experience. Is it a joke - almost half a century in education!" - characterized her the President. He pointed out that the entire school staff is on par with the director, and the students win at republican and international competitions.
One of the youngest participants of the ceremony is the famous Belarusian athlete and beauty Yulia Apanasovich, an 11-time champion of Belarus in boxing, bronze medalist of the European and World Championships. She hails from a village, from a large family, where, apparently, she learned both to work and to overcome difficulties, which allowed her to achieve much in the future.
The President sincerely congratulated those gathered and, on their behalf, all Belarusian women on the upcoming bright holiday: "Thank you for the invaluable contribution you have already made to your native country."
Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that on this holiday, the men of Belarus are ready to do everything for the women of the country. "Because your happiness, mood, and your successes depend on Belarusian, first of all, men. Someone may wave and go beyond the borders of the country, anything can happen. But remember that here, in Belarus, we value you, love you, and this is your land," he said.
The head of state assured that not only during the festive period but always, men are ready to cherish, protect, help, support, and delight women. "Tell us what else we can do to make you happier. May your successes inspire others, including us men," said Alexander Lukashenko, wishing in addition that the current ceremony would be remembered by its participants for a lifetime. "Happiness, success, and most importantly - health to you and your children," the President concluded.
The head of state presented the Order of Honor to the head of the education department of the Grodno regional executive committee, Tatyana Aksamit, the medal "For Labor Merits" to the head of production of the managing company of the Belarusian leather and footwear company "Marko" Anzhela Alferonok, to the engineer-technologist of the technical department of the Orsha flax processing plant Irina Belyakova, and to the leading researcher of the fruit growing technology department of the Institute of Fruit Growing Nadezhda Kapichnikova.
Alexander Lukashenko awarded the Order of Mother to representatives of all regions and Minsk. Among them are the specialist in providing retail banking services at the banking services center No. 527 of OJSC "ASB Belarusbank" Anzhelika Klimovich, the defectologist teacher of the special kindergarten No. 17 of Svetlogorsk Natalia Stukach, the educational organizer of the secondary school No. 28 of Brest Svetlana Talatynnik, and the research associate of the cultural and educational work department of the Mogilev regional local history museum named after E.R. Romanov Anastasia Patrusova.
