As part of the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, employees of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation organized a car rally to the sites of military and partisan glory on the territory of Belarus. This action is aimed at preserving historical memory, strengthening brotherly ties between the two countries, and fostering patriotic education among the youth.
Continuing the car rally to the sites of military and partisan glory dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, participants visited the memorial complex "For Our Soviet Motherland" in Orsha. A commemorative rally was held here with the participation of representatives from the Smolensk and Bryansk regions of Russia, as well as employees of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
The rally was also attended by the Deputy Chairperson of the Orsha District Executive Committee, Anastasia Prokofyeva, and the Chairperson of the Orsha District Council of Deputies, Inna Khomutovskaya.
"Such actions unite generations and serve as a reminder of the heroism of our ancestors." We must pass on the truth about the war so that the youth know at what cost Victory was achieved," noted Inna Khomutovskaya
This rally was yet another confirmation of the brotherly connection between Belarus and Russia, a shared history, and the desire to defend the truth about the war. Such events strengthen patriotic education among the youth and counter attempts to rewrite history.
