Deputies of Vitebsk region gathered in Gorodok: focus on sport, tourism and quality of life
The social state is the Belarusian model of welfare. This is the leitmotif of the seminar for the deputy corps of the Vitebsk region.
The large-scale event was held in the Gorodok district. It was attended by the chairman of the regional Council of Deputies Dmitry Demidov, a member of the Permanent Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on education, science, culture, and social development Gleb Lapitsky, the chairman of the district executive committee Irina Polyakova, deputies, and heads of interested services and departments from different corners of Vitebsk region.
— One of the tasks of the authorities at any level is to create comfortable conditions for people regardless of where they live. Seminars for the deputy corps are an important and necessary initiative that will allow us to analyze in more detail the implementation of state policy in various areas, discuss current issues of socio-economic development, — emphasized Dmitry Demidov. — This format of work provides an opportunity to exchange experiences and develop solutions aimed at improving the quality of life of the population.
During the seminar, the deputies focused on the prospects for the development of sports and tourism, sanatorium-resort treatment, and medical tourism. The attendees also laid flowers at the memorial complex "Immortality" in Gorodok, got acquainted with the infrastructure of the tourist and health complex "Losvido", visited the branch "Gorodok House of Crafts and Folklore", the ski roller track in the Vorobyovy Hills, and the physical culture and health complex of the regional center for Olympic reserve in winter sports.
