Demographic security and personnel potential: key issues were discussed at the meeting of the Orshansky district executive committee
At the open meeting of the Orsha District Executive Committee, issues related to the implementation of the state program on demographic security of the Republic of Belarus and the realization of the decision of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee "On additional measures for staffing state organizations" were discussed.
Participating in the work of the executive committee were the deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Mikhno and the deputy head of the main health department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Andrei Kakoichenko.
With a report on the first issue, the deputy chief physician of the Orsha Central Polyclinic Lyubov Rummo spoke. Issues of national health are always relevant, as they are linked to ensuring the demographic security of Belarus. Lyubov Yuryevna reported on the implementation of the State Program "Health of the Nation and Demographic Security" for 2021-2025 which includes six subprograms: "Family and Childhood", "Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases", "Prevention and Overcoming of Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse, Protection of Mental Health", "Counteracting the Spread of Tuberculosis", "Prevention of HIV Infection", "Ensuring the Functioning of the Healthcare System". The participants of the event were informed about the main indicators and the existing problems were discussed.
Special attention was paid to staffing medical institutions in the region. Lyubov Rummo reported that in 2025, 15 young doctors and 67 mid-level medical staff joined the healthcare sector in the region. Additionally, issues of staffing medical institutions in the Orsha region were also discussed.
– Work in this direction does not stop, – noted Lyubov Yuryevna. – In 2026, it is planned that another 27 young doctors will come to the Orsha district.
On the second issue, the deputy head of the department for labor, employment, and social protection of the Orsha District Executive Committee Natalya Drozdova spoke.
