Делегации из городов-побратимов совершили бизнес-экскурсию по Оршанскому региону

Delegations from twin cities conducted a business tour of the Orsha region

As part of the XIII International Economic Forum, delegations from sister cities made a business tour of the Orsha region.

At the beginning of their tour, the guests laid flowers at the Mound of Immortality in the Heroes' Park in memory of the soldiers and civilians who died during the Great Patriotic War.

Then representatives from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Islamic Republic of Iran visited the Orsha Flax Processing Plant – the only one in the Republic of Belarus and the largest producer of flax fabrics and products in the CIS countries and Europe. The Deputy General Director for Ideological Work and Social Issues Sergey Sidin introduced the guests to the stages of flax processing, the products produced, and the production capacities. Sergey Vladimirovich also presented collections of home textiles, fabrics, and clothing. Special attention was given to industrial tourism and opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation. It is worth noting that even before visiting the enterprise, the forum participants visited the branded store of the Orsha Flax Processing Plant "House of Flax", where they highly appreciated the offered products and made several purchases.

The next stop on the route was Secondary School No. 20 named after I. A. Flerov. The guests were greeted with a small concert program. They were told how the education system is structured in one of the largest schools in the area. Forum participants were interested in the organization of extracurricular activities with students and the patriotic education of the younger generation.

The final point of the excursion was the special economic zone "Bremino-Orsha". Representatives from different countries learned about the benefits and legal regime for residents, as well as the conditions for successful business development in the Orsha district.
