Delegate of the VII VNS Inna Khomutovskaya held a meeting with the workforce of the Orsha electric networks
The delegate of the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly, the chairperson of the Orsha District Council of Deputies, Inna Khomutovskaya, today held a meeting with the labor collective of the branch "Orsha Electric Networks" of RUP "Vitebskenergo".
She spoke about how the delegates worked at the Assembly, what priority areas were outlined by the President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during his address with a Message to the Belarusian people and Parliament. She emphasized the significance of the second session of the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly, where the delegates approved the Program for the socio-economic development of Belarus for 2026-2030 years.
Since energy workers were present in the hall, Inna Viktorovna elaborated on what the Head of State said about the country's energy independence.
– The built nuclear power plant has significantly strengthened our energy independence. But by 2030, this level needs to be raised even higher. The reliability of energy facilities is becoming a pressing issue today. Our President said so, – noted the delegate of the Assembly.
This means that the construction of power lines of all voltage classes, as well as substations with a reasonable reserve of capacity, will continue in the country. In simple terms, old wires will be replaced with new ones, and substations will be built to meet the capacities needed in various populated areas.
Inna Viktorovna noted that the team of the branch "Orsha Electric Networks" is carrying out systematic and planned work to improve energy efficiency in the Orsha region. In 2025, for example, they completed a significant volume of work on the capital repair of power grids and transformer substations, reconstructed electrical networks to provide citizens with the opportunity to use electric energy for heating, hot water supply, and cooking, and also completed many other works to enhance the reliability of electricity supply to consumers. In turn, the deputy director for ideological and social work Leonid Furs shared the branch's plans for 2026.
During the meeting, those interested could ask Inna Khomutovskaya questions of interest and receive answers.
