Be careful while relaxing in nature!
One of the national treasures of Belarus is the forest. It is not only the most important source of many types of raw materials and valuable building materials, but also a source of clean air for our cities, a favorite place for citizens to relax.
One of the fiercest enemies of the forest is forest fires. Often, when going into the forest, people light fires, leave unextinguished matches and cigarette butts, thus showing negligence. But not many think about the colossal harm they cause to all living things. After all, not only plants are destroyed in the fire, but also animals and birds.
Therefore, when in the forest, it is necessary to be attentive and careful with fire, strictly observe fire safety rules. Do not use open flames in forested areas, do not throw burning matches and cigarette butts, do not burn dry grass under the forest canopy and in forest clearings, and observe the ban on visiting forests during the fire hazard period. If you encounter a forest fire, you must immediately report it by calling 101 or 112. If the fire is small, you can use the simplest method of extinguishing the fire – smothering the flames with branches or covering it with soil.
It is also important to use lighting liquids for barbecues with special caution; remember that they ignite easily. Unfortunately, cases of injury to citizens due to negligence when using such liquids are increasingly appearing in the news feeds.
