"More than a district". Lukashenko was briefed on the advanced experience of the "Dzerzhinsky" agro-combine
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, and participants of the off-site seminar-meeting on agricultural topics were informed about the advanced experience of the agricultural complex "Dzerzhinsky", reports a BELTA correspondent.
The agricultural complex is a vertically integrated enterprise engaged in the production and processing of agricultural products. The structure includes several subdivisions responsible for various areas of activity, such as crop production, animal husbandry, processing, commercial activities, and management. The branches of the agricultural complex are located in several districts of the Minsk region. The work is built on a complete closed cycle - from the field and farm to processing and sales, including through more than a hundred branded stores.
"In terms of land holdings, this is more than a district. In terms of grain production, this is three Soviet districts," noted Alexander Lukashenko.
The President asked the general director of the agricultural complex, Vladimir Lukyanov, if there were any grievances regarding pricing.
"No," replied the head of the enterprise.
In this regard, Alexander Lukashenko drew the attention of officials responsible for pricing issues that the experience of the agricultural complex should be taken and replicated across the country. "Take it: production, processing, branded trade. If there are no problems, copy all of this and apply it to the country for the products that it at least produces. And the people will stop feeling offended. Here it is - the chain."
Another important direction that they intend to develop in "Dzerzhinsky" is the fattening of calves for meat. This concerns the production of high-quality beef with good export potential. So far, such production is planned to be created in one place - in the Slutsk district. This will also allow loading the capacities of the Slutsk meat processing plant, which is joining the agricultural complex "Dzerzhinsky".
"We are thinking not to develop the dairy direction there, but the fattening. Because the Slutsk meat processing plant is nearby. It depends on raw material zones. We want to conduct such an experiment on fattening 8-9 thousand heads per year. To work out mechanisms, approaches, and jointly with science to develop rations. To develop technology, regulations for growing, keeping, feeding, and constructing this complex and present it as a finished product for everyone. We have already chosen a plot, we have written the technology. I think by the New Year we will already have a project solution and we will start this process," the general director said. "Thus, we will fill our meat processing plant with 50-60% of our own raw materials. This will allow us to qualitatively, as a separate production, calculate costs, profitability, and achieve financial results."
The preliminary cost of the project is estimated at Br40-45 million. In the future, this experience, if recognized as successful, will be replicated in other branches of the agricultural complex.
"This needs to be built immediately. Do everything in parallel," said the head of state, orienting towards the most compressed deadlines.
With the joining of other enterprises and farms, the agricultural complex has doubled gross production in 5 years. There are 7 different investment projects in implementation, which are financed partially from own funds and partially from loans from the Development Bank. The enterprise is also involved in the implementation of the program "One district - one project."
"It is good that it (the bank - Note by BELTA) helps those who will give a return tomorrow. But that does not mean that we should pray to it, because there is such a good enterprise. We must develop other enterprises as well," noted the head of state.
In this regard, Alexander Lukashenko raised the issue of preparing leaders who could in the future head either the same agricultural complex "Dzerzhinsky" or create other similar enterprises in the regions of the country. "Tomorrow you may not be here. Who will replace you?" - posed a fundamental question to Vladimir Lukyanov.
"There are a couple of people," he replied.
"Well, at least a couple. This is an important question. A good enterprise. Therefore, we need to see people here who will create a similar farm tomorrow. If we create similar enterprises, we will not have problems with food products and other issues," said the head of state.
