“Arshanka” set off on a kayak trip
The patriotic rafting event "Orsha — spring of strength" became a true celebration of unity and love for the native land.
It brought together more than 50 representatives of labor collectives from the region, the public association "Belaya Rus'", BRSM, and members of student brigades. Along with them, a journalist from the "Arshanskaya Gazeta" also set off on a journey down the Adrov River.
The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and began with a rally at the memorial complex "For our Soviet Motherland!". Participants remembered the heroes who gave their lives for our freedom and the peaceful sky above our heads, honored their memory with a moment of silence, and laid flowers at the monument.
Then everyone moved to the village of Zaslonovka, where the rafting route began. More than 10 km through the picturesque places of the Orsha district, a bright sunny day, the beauty of nature, laughter and songs echoing across the river provided unforgettable emotions and impressions.
By the way, the Adrov River only seems calm and peaceful at first glance. Participants had to overcome many obstacles – rapids, fallen trees, branches and twigs sticking out of the water sometimes created insurmountable barriers and jams. But mutual assistance and support from comrades saved them in difficult situations. The guys literally dragged the kayaks over logs by hand, pulled them off the shallows, and even lifted fallen trees so that everyone could pass underneath. But it was worth it.
The organizers of the event – Orsha CHPP, the public association "Belaya Rus'", and the district committee of BRSM – thought through every detail, making this day truly warm, soulful, and positive.
After the rafting, participants were already waiting for a hot dinner and relaxation on a cozy glade by the river, as well as entertainment for every taste. They could compete in accuracy in archery, play badminton and volleyball, puzzle over intellectual games, or enjoy calm board games. Music, laughter, jokes, and fun filled the glade, creating an atmosphere of friendship and unity.
This rafting event marked the beginning of new meetings and acquaintances, as well as a source of inspiration.
